Risk Management Counsel of Canada (RMC) was delighted to once again participate at the RIMS-Canada conference in St John’s Newfoundland. Representatives from all RMC member firms across Canada were on hand to meet and visit with delegates at both the Conference and Exhibit Hall.
In addition, RMC was proud to be invited to present a panel discussion at the Conference. Elizabeth Forster from the member firm of Blaney McMurtry LLP, Toronto ON, moderated the panel presentation entitled ‘Employer’s Dream: Insurer’s Nightmare! Employer’s Liability: the Need for a Canadian Model.
Expert panel members included Geneviève Cotnam, Stein Monast LLP Québec City, QC; Jorge Segovia, Cox & Palmer, St John’s, NL, and RMC Vice President, Monika M.L. Zauhar, Cox & Palmer, Fredericton, NB.
This unique presentation included animation by local actors Petrina Bromley and Brad Hodder who performed for the audience various roles in the presentation of four skits reflecting specific employment related scenarios.
The panel discussion and theatrical presentations were extremely well received and offered a distinctive and dynamic view of employers’ liability insurance programs and insurance coverage offered by such policies.
