Tremblay v. Québec (Attorney-General), 2015 QCCS 3143
The Plaintiffs sued the Attorney-General of Quebec (AGQ) for committing a fault that caused them damages. Not having the financial resources to pay for the many expert reports needed to quantify the damages, the Plaintiffs applied for the proceedings to be separated in order to determine, first, whether the AGQ could be held liable and, then, as applicable, to quantify the damages based on expert reports.
