Small Claims – It is possible to amend a proceeding in order to benefit from the greater jurisdiction of the Small Claims Division:

In cases where an action was instituted in the Small Claims Division of the Court of Quebec prior to the raising of the Division’s jurisdictional threshold on January 1, 2015, it is possible to request an amendment to the proceeding to increase the claim to a maximum of $15,000.
